Gov. Ritter Congratulates CSU for Heading Up Regional Climate Center

Gov. Bill Ritter today applauded Colorado State University after U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced CSU will head up a new regional Climate Science Center.

"It is incredibly gratifying to see Colorado recognized as the most strategic site for the Regional Climate Science Center, and congratulations to Colorado State University for being selected to host such a prestigious consortium of research institutions," Gov. Ritter said. "Colorado is now recognized as a national leader in addressing climate change, one of the most important challenges facing the world today. We have enacted numerous policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and are continuing to develop strategic adaptation and mitigation measures. This new center will advance not only our work but the entire region's. Each member of the consortium deserves to be recognized for the success of their collaborative proposal."
